Title: Complete mode decomposition for the black hole Green’s function

Abstract: In this talk, I will present a complete mode decomposition of the black hole retarded Green’s function. While it is well known that a sum over quasinormal modes converges at late times, I will show that a set of Matsubara modes is responsible for reconstructing the Green’s function at earlier times. The construction holds in different backgrounds, but I will focus on the Schwarzschild black hole case, introducing a small positive cosmological constant that makes it possible to express the branch cut contribution in the frequency space as a convergent sum of de Sitter quasinormal modes.
