Title: Model Systematics in Gravitational-wave Astrophysics

Abstract: Since the direct detection of gravitational waves in 2015, astrophysicists have uncovered heaps of new information about the black holes that lie hidden within our universe. These discoveries primarily rely on the use of Bayesian inference to identify the source properties of the black-hole binaries producing the signals we see. In this talk, I’ll review recent work on systematics I've done within the field of gravitational-wave data analysis, and outline some of the challenges that future detectors will bring with increased sensitivity.
