    RCUK announces forthcoming OA policy

    The Research Councils UK (RCUK)
        http://www.rcuk.ac.uk/
have publicly announced that they have agreed on an OA
policy but are not yet ready to make the policy itself public.
        http://www.rcuk.ac.uk/whatsnew.asp
Here's the entirety of yesterday's announcement:
'RCUK has agreed [on] a position statement on access to and
dissemination of the outputs of research funded by the Research
Councils. This information was circulated to [the 121 UK]
Vice-Chancellors in March, to give them an opportunity to comment
before the document is finalised. RCUK expect to formally release
the statement in its definitive form in mid-May 2005.'
