Parapsychology

I might as well get the ball rolling,

The following views I am not advocating, but I am advocating them on
behalf of the devil......

PARAPSYCHOLOGY

a) An idea which was brought to my attention by Yuri Lozotsev of the
Voronezh UFO society was that some things happen in our World that
are outside our range of knowledge. Things occur which are outside
the realm of Human perceptual capabilities with us being like a fly
on a TV screen. We can see something is happening but we cannot
describe it. The trouble with Human nature now is that we aren't half
centric about ideas and philosophies which cannot be explained away
with the Roses!

b) Humans tend to reduce everything into Human terms, which can help us
progress in this World but it is killing certain aspects of our life
including Philosophy.

c) Science is not everything and cannot explain everything. Science,
admittedly has aided our progression but it has brought about trouble
which essentially wipes out it's progress in one easy move. If Theory
A, Theory B and Theory C can all independently give outcome X, then
we are nowhere near the truth. Science can stiffle debate on a
certain topic if people stubbornly stick to their views regardless of
others and what tends to happen is a pretty petty debate lasting a
lifetime because my view is the correct one, and bugger you.

d) Our Anthropocentrism does over extend with amazement. We have
quantified the abstract term of TIME, using quartz and the
planets (but this is under some form of debate as Pluto could well be
a rogue planet, being a moon from another planetary system), making a
second which generates a minute and then a day and so on. What is to
say that a minute is a minute elsewhere.......

e) The Statistical Significance Debate. Why is this problem solely
attached to anomalous actions like those under the title of
Parapsychology and nothing else - Why aren't all results from all
Psychological Studies down to chance. Discrimmination springs to mind
(and is this because, again, it is outside our realm of knowledge, so
we attribute it to chance?)

f) Lastly, since we have evolved with the capabilities of reasoning
and questioning, we have begun to question our very existence and our
capabilities and anything outside this range is seen as a product of
us. How can we sleep safely thinking this I ask you?
What is to say that a dolphin has reasoned not to reason after seeing
the state we are in and not evolved to our 'level.'

Bring back Philosophy, all is forgiven (considering you are the basis
of science how can you be ignored?)

I await the debate. Craig.
