Industry Leader in Complex Systems Joins Southampton Business School LEiRs

Southampton Business School Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise is delighted to welcome Tim Whitcher, Technical Director for complex systems delivery at AtkinsRéalis, as part of our Leaders and Entrepreneurs in Residence. With over 15 years’ professional experience in complex systems integration and delivery, Tim is a valuable addition to our LEiRs.

In addition to his industry roles, Tim is an Industrial Supervisor at University College London (UCL) and has been a Visiting Lecturer at Birmingham City University and the University of East London. His teaching focuses on systems thinking and complex systems in real-world applications. Tim's research interests are centered around complex systems and their emergent behaviours, with a practical approach for practitioners.

Tim is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a Fellow of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (FIRSE), and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (SMIEEE).
