Adopt an Idea - Workshop

On 23 June 2026, the University of Southampton Business School hosted the inaugural Adopt an Idea Workshop at Boldrewood Innovation Campus.

Co-organised by Dr Giota Papadimitri and Prof. Swarnodeep Homroy, and supported by the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF), the event brought together academics and practitioners to exchange ideas and explore how research and practice can incubate ideas that makes a social impact. The workshop featured paper presentations from researchers across the UK, alongside a Perspectives from Practice session with guest speakers from the Bank of England, The Upright Project, ABP, and IACM. The day fostered lively and productive conversations, and we hope it marks the beginning of a continuous dialogue between researchers and the wider practitioner community.

Building on the momentum of the inaugural workshop, USBS  aims to further strengthen these connections by creating ongoing opportunities for collaboration  and mutual learning.
