A day for a parent or carer and their child to work together learning to code the BBC micro:bit, a tiny programmable computer, designed to make learning and teaching easy and fun! You will be given your very own micro:bit to try a number of fun coding activities which you can take away and do at home with your child! Suitable for children aged 10 - 13yrs who must be accompanied by their parent or carer throughout the day. Led by teachers who are experts in computing education.
Activities include:
- your name in lights
- measure temperature
- make a compass

simple games, including the steady hand game
Course cost £50
per child with parent/carer
Including a free micro:bit, USB lead and memory stick for each adult and child to share, all you need to get started.
Tea, coffee, squash, biscuits and fruit provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
