University of Southampton confirmed as a leader for studying Engineering in the UK

The University of Southampton has gained top ten places in each of the five Engineering subject areas in the independent, annual, undergraduate ranking, ‘The Complete University Guide’ for 2013. The results show Southampton is one of only four universities in the country to achieve this high standard.

Southampton came second only to Cambridge for Electrical and Electronic Engineering; is rated fifth in the country for both Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering; achieved eighth place for Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering and came tenth for General Engineering.

The University is placed fifteenth for the guide’s overall ranking of 116 UK universities.
