Course Overview

Join Dr. Nat Easton to discuss how the NHS 'Fit for the Future' 10-year plan will be relevant to you. This session will include:

• The key announcements in the 10 Year NHS Plan.
• Open discussions about the opportunities or barriers posed by the plan.
• Work to identify which parts of the plan are most relevant to your current work (or identifying areas to focus future research funding).
•Identifying actions you can personally take to further your policy directions in this space.

Speakers Bio

Dr. Nat Easton

Dr. Nat Easton is PPS's Specialist Policy Officer supporting the Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences, with a strong background in air pollution research and its impacts on health and the environment. Her experience spans both research and policy engagement, having worked with government departments such as Defra, DfT, and UKHSA to bridge the gap between scientific evidence and decision-making. Drawing on her expertise from the UKRI Clean Air Programme and her interdisciplinary work across the University of Southampton, Nat brings a unique perspective to teaching a policy session on aligning research with the NHS 10-Year Plan.
