• Identify opportunities to engage with the environmental policy making processes in the UK

Course overview

A 2-hour training and discussion session on Environmental Policy in the UK, including what the government has committed to do on nature and climate, what it’s actually doing and what it might do next. We’ll cover who the key stakeholders are, how policies get enacted and the ways academic research can be used in the development of new policies.

Speaker

Grace is the Specialist Policy Officer for the Sustainability and Resilience Institute at the University of Southampton, working to enhance the impact of their interdisciplinary research. She collaborates with policy makers to provide the evidence needed to make informed, evidence led decisions on sustainability policies. She has first-hand experience in design and delivery of Climate Response and Energy Transition policies, working with central government and civil servants.
