Researchers from the University of Southampton have identified why some people may become resistant to rituximab, a common type of immunotherapy used in treating lymphoma (a type of blood cancer), and how an immune response stimulating drug called a ‘STING agonist’ could overcome this, paving the way for improved patient outcomes. The pioneering research is being led by the Universitys Dr Stephen Beers, pictured here, in conjunction with Professor Mark Cragg.
