Some of the world’s leading cancer scientists and clinicians will come together this week (w/c 12 September) at the Progress in Vaccination Against Cancer (PIVAC) conference in Winchester. The event will be chaired by the Universitys Professor Christian Ottensmeier and include presentations on many aspects of tumour immunology.

Dr Stephen Beers and his team have been awarded £200,000 by Bloodwise to investigate why some leukaemia patients don’t respond to a type of treatment. The grant will be used to find ways to reverse drug resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). Read the full story here in the Daily Echo.
