USBS successful in its re-accreditation of the Small Business Charter
We’re very pleased to share the news that the University of Southampton Business School has been successful in its re-accreditation of the Small Business Charter.
The Small Business Charter supports a network of accredited business schools who excel in small business support, student entrepreneurship, and local engagement.
Professor Laura Costanzo , Dean of the University of Southampton Business School (USBS) , commented: "We are delighted to have received the Small Business Charter (SBC) reaccreditation for the next five years and see the significant progress that USBS has made since the last accreditation, embedding SBC principles across our strategy and operations. We view the SBC as a cornerstone of our School’s enterprise mission and will continue using its framework to support SMEs, advance the civic agenda, student enterprise and employability.

Professor Jeni Giambona , Associate Dean of Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise at the University of Southampton Business School, added: "Small Business Charter accreditation enables us to promote our small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) more effectively to relevant stakeholders, and to engage our student population by embedding enterprise opportunities into the curriculum, internships and extra-curricular activities.

The assessors’ feedback mentioned that: “The University of Southampton Business School (USBS) demonstrated a strong strategic commitment to SME engagement and enterprise. Overall, USBS has made significant progress since the last accreditation, embedding SBC principles across its strategy and operations – demonstrated through the assessment process. The school demonstrates strong leadership, infrastructure, and partnerships that deliver meaningful impact for SMEs and students”
