Professor Rob Johns was on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio 5 Live (for an extended slot) talking about the vote of no confidence in, and subsequent resignation of, Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf.​

• A team from Southampton is using nanotechnology to support the conservation of HMS Victory in Portsmouth.

Rachel Triggs' work using nanotechnology to preserve HMS Victory was on ITV Meridian, Daily Echo, BBC Radio Solent, Heart and Greatest Hits Radio.​

• Research by Aditya Narayanan and colleagues into a large, rare opening in the sea ice around Antarctica was covered by MailOnline, Newsweek, IFL Science, The National, Daily Echo and multiple other outlets. ​

Dr Monique Chu was on the BBC World service speaking about Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's visit to China. ​

• Research involving Dr Roohollah Hafizi and Professor Graeme Day which discovered a new material that can absorb carbon faster than trees had over 300 pieces of coverage including pieces in the Independent, Mail Online and Sky News.​

Professor Sarah Morris told Euronews that hackers could in theory extract copies of our fingerprints from the selfies we post online, but only in very specific conditions.​

Dr Colleen Deane commented in a Telegraph article about muscle growth supplements.

• A study by Dr Darren Naish into the intelligence of the Tyrannosaurus rex has had over 75 pieces of coverage, including pieces in Mail Online, Daily Star and Smithsonian Magazine.

Professor Maria Stokes commented in a Guardian article suggesting astronauts could run round the ‘Wall of Death’ to keep fit on moon.​

Professor David Sear and visiting fellow Charles Rangely-Wilson advised on an article in National Geographic Magazine about chalk streams. Professor Sear has also had an article published in the global Wild Trout Trust magazine Salmo Trutta about restoring natural rivers.

• Professor Stephen Holgate commented in a Daily Mail article about the link between wine and asthma attacks.

The Telegraph quoted a 2018 study by Dr Ken Collins that warned great white sharks could be swimming off the beaches of Cornwall within the next 30 years thanks to rising sea temperatures.​
