Our fitness classes range from low impact, to high intensity or even mind and body focused. Whichever class you choose, our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the way.
These cardiovascular classes are fun and full of energy designed to help you move with motivational and upbeat music. Suitable for all levels.
Aqua Zumba
Dance fitness party in the water, a calorie burning workout. Participants must be able to swim 25m and be confident in the water.
Dance Fit
Mixes of low intensity and high intensity moves to music. Motivational and fun!
Indoor Cycling
A great cardiovascular workout, set to motivational music. Pedal your way through hill climbs, flat roads and sprints.
Latin Fusion
A cardio workout where you are free to enjoy Latin dance music with Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha, and Reggaeton moves. A great way to work out and have some fun.
Zumba
The class that takes the "work" out of workout! Zumba sessions mix low and high intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba classes are often called exercise in disguise.
These intense cardiovascular workouts improve your overall fitness and stamina. They’re great if you’re looking to burn fat and increase muscle tone fast.

Circuits
A station based class providing a full body workout using cardio, resistance and strength training to improve your fitness.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
HIIT classes involve repeated bursts of high-intensity exercise followed by a longer low-intensity activity. This will get you working at your maximum potential for an intense cardio workout.
Indoor Cycling
A great cardiovascular workout, set to motivational music. Pedal your way through hill climbs, flat roads and sprints.
Suitable for everyone, these mind and body classes focus on improving the flexibility of your muscles. Concentrating on muscular movements and healthy breathing patterns, they create a feeling of calm and harmony throughout the body.
CIRCL Mobility
Releases stress, restores your range of movement and renews you ability to move better.
Fitness Pilates
These 30 minute workout sessions combine 4 pilates sequences to challenge your deep postural muscles.
Pilates
Target the deep postural muscles while relieving stress and tension with our pilates classes. Classes are available for all experience levels.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
Total stretch
This workout blends flexibility with balance and strength training to challenge your entire body. This creates a feeling of calm and harmony for mind and body.
Yoga
Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, our 'Less Is More' yoga classes have something for you. This class is designed to improve flexibility, strength and stamina.
These classes target muscle groups with full body movement.
BODYPUMPTM
BODYPUMP is the original barbell class, ideal for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit. This workout challenges all the major muscle groups, with great music and lots of motivation.
Core Body Tone
Targeting full body, toning and strengthening muscles. A complete workout.
Core Fitness
These classes are designed to strengthen core muscles. They can help with posture and back problems.
LBT
Legs, bums and tums tones and strengthens the lower body, sculpts, lifts and tightens using resistance exercises and bodyweight movement.
RIG
This gym based class is a full-body workout, aimed at improving your body`s strength, control, co-ordination, agility, stability and balance. We are also offering inductions into this class to help teach you the exercises.
Strong by Zumba
These classes combine high intensity interval training with the science of Synced Music Motivation. In every class, music and moves sync in a way that pushes you past your perceived limits, to reach your fitness goals faster.
Total Workout
This workout class targets the full body and all major muscle groups.
Booking a session
You must book your class in advance. Southampton Sport members can book up to 7 days in advance.
You may only book 1 x 55 minute slot per activity per day, regardless of location. Multiple bookings may result in online booking rights suspension. Email us to book a session or package.

Cancelling a session
Only the person who made the booking can cancel it. If you do not cancel your activity within 4 hours of the start time you will pay a non-attendance fee at the Pay as you go rate.
Pay as you go customers, who cancel their booking at least 4 hours in advance, will get a credit for fees paid.

Location and opening times
The University is proud to offer a wide range of modern sporting facilities for our staff, students and wider community to use. Our partnership with the Active Nation network also gives some members access to more gyms and swimming pools.
