Yes

A 27-Month EU FP6-funded project, the RASPED project brought together partners from both industry and academia, with the university of Southampton working alongside a number of SMEs across the EU to develop a new disposable rasp device for orthopaedic surgery.

Project Overview

These hollow, disposable rasps were designed to reduce the cost and improve the performance of the device in clinical use, whilst eliminating any risk of infection transmission between patients associated with incomplete sterilisation of reusable devices.
