I was awarded two PhDs: One PhD was awarded in 2010 by the University of London, at the Department of Management, London School of Economics (UK). My PhD supervisor is Professor Paul Williams. The title of thesis is "Robust global supply chain planning under uncertainty". Another PhD was awarded in 1998 by the Northeast University at the Department of System Engineering (China). My PhD supervisor is Professor Dingwei Wang. The title of thesis is "The study of due date assignment and earliness/tardiness scheduling problems in fuzzy production environment". My bachelor degree was awarded in 1989 by the Dalian University of Technology at the Department of Applied Mathematics (China). Prior to becoming an academic, I worked in industry as a Senior Engineer/Engineer in computer science for more than 10 years. After I worked at the Department of Management Science, City University of Hong Kong for three years as a Senior Research Associate, I took up a lectureship at the University of Southampton in 2004. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in Management Science.
