Research project

A review of existing STEM policies and strategies in South-East Europe and part of the Mediterranean countries in the context of scaling up the implementation of SDG 4, SDG 5 and SDG 9

Project overview

Commissioned by the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, this project aims to review recent STEM policies and strategies in South-East Europe and part of the Mediterranean countries, in the context of scaling up the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, SDG 5 and SDG 9, and provide policymakers with recommendations for action. By understanding the successes and challenges of current policies in the countries, policymakers can develop visions for future policies that are informed by best practices and evidence-based approaches at national, regional and international levels.
