Research Assistant on Investigating Incel Identity - project led by Matthew Hunt & Eleanor Jones
Combing insights from critical discourse analysis, gender theory and textual analysis, this pilot project collected online incel content with a view to identifying key themes for further research. The project aimed to identify key aspects of the incel narrative and put them into dialogue with existing linguistic and cultural theorisations of masculinity. Data collection from participatory media (YouTube) using R and RStudio.
