Residence Fees 2008/2009

Residence Fees for the 2008/2009 academic session are valid from 27th September 2008 to 19th September 2009.

 

Please note the Hall Fees are subject to conditions set out in the University of Southampton Calendar Section IV: 20. Hall Fee Regulations, available at http://www.calendar.soton.ac.uk/sectionIV/part29.html

Price  Range

We have many different locations and types of room, and the price will vary depending on these factors.

  • For self catered accommodation in 2008/2009, the prices range from £65.45 per week to £158.90 per week.
  • For catered accommodation in 2008/2009, the prices range from £101.85 per week to £145.60 per week.

When are the Fees due?

The Residence Fees are payable in three of four instalments, depending on the length of your Residence Agreement. The instalments are due as follows:

  • First instalment: Monday 20th October 2008
  • Second instalment: Monday 19th January 2009
  • Third instalment: Monday 27th April 2009
  • Fourth instalment (long contracts only): Monday 06th July

What Periods do the Fees cover?

Each instalment of Residence Fees covers residence for on University term. In general  this works out as follows:

  • First instalment: 27th September 2008 to 13th December 2008 
  • Second instalment: 13th December 2008 to 21st March 2009 
  • Third instalment: 21st March 2009 to 01st July 2009
  • Fourth instalment: 01st July 2009 to 19th September 2009

The exact period will vary for 2008/2009 depending on the length of your Residence Agreement - for example, a Short contract excludes the Easter vacation. Please refer to your online Residence Agreement for more details.
