Most study bedrooms, include a data point, allowing access to the University network, learning resources and the internet.  There is also the award winning Uni-link bus service that connects all our Halls in Southampton to the main teaching campuses.  The cost of these services is included in your residence fee.

When you arrive in Southampton our dedicated team of Hall Managers, cleaners and porters will ensure that Southampton truly becomes your home away from home,  and while we may not wash the dishes we will ensure that any faults or maintenance requests are dealt with as promptly as possible.

Wardenal Review

Residence Support  Team

The Residence Support Team (formerly the Wardenal Service) in halls comprises of staff or students with experience of university life, who can point residents in the right direction for the help they may need.  They facilitate communal living by ensuring that students abide by hall regulations in a social, study-conducive environment, and do not breach health and safety rules in their accommodation.  A rota system provides out of hours cover.  The team signpost students to relevant services provided by the University or in the wider community at times of need.

The service is currently being reviewed to provide modern terms and conditions for our Residence Support Team and to ensure a consistent support offer to our student residents.

You can download copies of the proposal as well as background information.  We invite comments or observations as part of the consultation with the University community.
