This recently completed purpose built block provides accommodation about 20 minutes from the main teaching block at St. Mary's Hospital and yet is ideally placed for a city centre lifestyle.
On the junction of Victoria Road and Outam Road in the Southsea area of Portsmouth this attractive building offers accommodation for student nurses. The furnished apartments offer either one or two-bedroom flats. The one-bedroom flat provides total independent living while the two-bedroom flat comprises of two enhanced rooms (without washbasins) where residents share the kitchen/lounge area and bathroom. The flats vary in size and layout with each flat built off the central staircase/corridor. The flats benefit from double glazing and thermostatically controlled central heating. All bedrooms have their own door locks and the flats are connected to the door entry system for the main entrance. There is no parking available onsite however there is a large secure bicycle store. On-street parking is available in adjacent streets (at present permits are not required).
Students in Victoria Place will be required to sign to a 51 week tenancy agreement.
Each flat has an individual electricity supply and students will be responsible for arranging and settling the account for the flat. Likewise students can chose to contact either BT or NTL for telecom and/or internet connection, charges for these facilities will again be settled by each flat.
Basic cleaning equipment is supplied in each flat and the tenants are responsible for keeping their flat clean during and at the end of the tenancy. Maintenance is now directly dealt with at the Hall itself. Rent is payable by Direct Debit or Recurring Card Payment to the University of Southampton as per the contract.
