Private Rented Housing event - House Party in SU Concourse

The programme of private rented housing events is being launched today (Tuesday 1st December 2009) in the Student's Union building concourse. This event is about giving students an idea of the support and assistance that we can offer over the next few months, when current 1st year students will need to start looking into accommodation for next year in the private rented sector.

These are joint events, run in conjunction with the Student's Union and there will be a stand in the concourse between 11 and 4 today, that will be staffed by both Accommodation Service staff and Student's Union staff.

The Private Rented handbook will be distributed to all students that are in halls before Christmas, and will shortly be available on both our website and www.susu.org.

The list of available SASSH accredited properties for next academic year will be published on 11th January 2010 at www.sassh.co.uk.

We will be holding Housing Clinics from January onwards, where students can drop in to get advice, ask any questions or have contracts checked - before students sign them.

There will also be Housing Talks given in all of the Halls of Residence in the first week of February. Further details will be published on the website shortly.
