Ms Rocchina Covucci

Given her experience in practice, Rocchina realises the importance of understanding and teaching the issues of management and accountancy from an academic point of view, aiming to help students to acknowledge the why behind theory and link it to the facts of actual practice in order to bring the subject to life.

She has experience in providing audit training to new graduate joiners and allocating responsibilities and assigning duties.

She is teaching Introduction to Accounting and Finance and Management Accounting 3.

Rocchina is an experienced ACA qualified Chartered Accountant, full member of the ICAEW and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Salerno (Italy).

Rocchina joined Southampton Business School in August 2022 having previously worked in top ten accountancy firms based in Southampton.

Rocchina has worked in professional services firms for more than seven years and spent nearly three years in industry gaining experience in several different disciplines of practice. Given her extensive practical experience in auditing, financial reporting, corporate finance, as well as management accounting, Rocchina’s analytical skills and practical knowledge gained working hands-on in the field are an important source of information that will enable students to visualise the meaning of theoretical concepts when applied in practice, thus, helping them to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
