Han Wang is a Lecturer in Economic Geography at the University of Southampton. He also serves as a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE). Before joining Southampton, Han was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and an LSE Fellow in Economic Geography. He earned his PhD degree in Economic Geography from the LSE with no corrections.
Han specialises in the interplay between regional governance and spatial growth, striving to understand its impact and develop strategies to bolster the efficacy of local institutions. Throughout his doctoral journey, he has researched as an economic consultant for international institutions including the OECD, ADB and EBRD.
