Visits and open days
Visiting the University is a great opportunity to see the campus and find out what it’s really like to live and study here. You'll be able to see our state-of-the-art student facilities, including the Hartley Library, Jubilee Sports Centre, Students’ Union and a hall of residence.
There are a number of ways to visit the University, including undergraduate open days, campus tours, UCAS and Higher Education fairs and self-guided walking tours.
Open Days 2013
We will be holding Open Days on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July, and Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September 2013. Booking is essential.
Find out how to book your July Open Day.
Booking for the September Open Days will be available towards the end of June.
You can also join the campus tour in our YouTube video below to find out more about the campus, facilities and accommodation on offer if you study at the University of Southampton.
Visit days
If you receive an offer of a place and live in the UK you will be invited to attend a visit day. These usually take place on selected Wednesdays during term-time and involve a tour of the campus by student guides, talks on the degree programmes and the University and a chance to meet the academic staff.
Open days
If you would like to visit the University before completing your UCAS form, we run open days in the summer. Please contact Student Recruitment and Admissions for further details (email visit@southampton.ac.uk or telephone +44 (0)23 8059 7026).
Independent visits
If you are unable to attend an open day or visit day, you are welcome to visit us in your own time. Please contact the Admissions team in advance for an appointment (email ssp-ucas@socsci.soton.ac.uk or telephone +44 (0)23 8059 2512).
