Child health researcher appointed as lecturer
Dr Andrew “Amos” Channon has been appointed as a lecturer in social statistics in the University of Southampton’s School of Social Sciences. He arrived at Southampton in 2002 to study for a Masters degree in social statistics, then stayed to complete a doctorate. His first degree was in psychology at Durham, then he worked for five years in IT before deciding to return to study as a demographer.
