Biography
Jackie Rafferty is Director of the Centre for Human Service Technology (CHST) and SWAP, the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Social Policy and Social Work. With a background in community development she has worked extensively over the last 15 years in the areas of information and communication technologies and learning and teaching in the human services.
Research interests
The use of information and communication technology in human service education and practice, pedagogic research and development.
Work in progress
Rafferty & Steyaert are editing a special issue of the British Journal of Social Work on "Social Work in the digital age". The Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Social Policy and Social Work activities can be accessed through the SWAP website
