Gordon Hon

Background

Gordon oversees the provision of art and design theory across the school. His background is in Fine Art painting and video, although his research is theory rather than practice-based.
His research interests are currently in the political uses of contemporary art, particularly in regards to nationalism, identity and globalisation. He is working, with Bashir Makhoul, on contemporary Palestinian art and its relationship to the idea of origin and nationalism in late capitalist globalisation.
