FIPO Visits JUFE International Fair

This October FIPO's manager, Song Utz, travelled to China to present at the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE).

The Faculty International Partnerships Office is a regular visitor to JUFE as we have a number of key partnership contracts with them, and they are one of our major partners in China.

As part of our push to market our courses to potential Chinese students, every year we attend and present at their International University Recruitment Fair in October. This year there were over 18 different international universities attending the event, from over 10 different countries including Australia, Singapore and the US.

Song Utz from the Faculty International Partnerships Office was representing the University of Southampton, and helped explain to students the benefits of studying in the UK, and in Southampton specifically. As part of the opening ceremony, Song was chosen by JUFE to give a speech on behalf of all of their international partners. This was a great honour, and it reflects the strength and the importance of our connection with JUFE.

As part of our ‘one-stop-shop’ approach to our partnership students, we continue to support the JUFE students who signed up on the trip with their applications, making sure they have a complete and worry-free transition from Jiangxi to Southampton.
