Study programmes

Our expertise in risk research is disseminated through a range of full-time and part-time degrees. These include our PhD programme and our taught courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Studying on one of our risk-related programmes will put you in a position to make effective decisions in the face of uncertainty and to confidently analyse, take and manage risks. PhD programme

The range of disciplines and skills associated with the Centre enables us to offer PhD supervision across a broad spectrum of risk related areas, including interdisciplinary topics.

Masters programmes

The Centre offers several quality full-time and part-time Master's degrees in risk. Each degree will provide you with the specific knowledge and skills to effectively manage risk and uncertainty in a range of organisational settings.

Undergraduate study

Several of the Southampton Business School's undergraduate modules are taught by staff from the Centre. Many modules feature content designed to provide a deeper understanding of risk and the application of effective risk management.

Risk graduates

Graduates from the Centre for Risk Research have been offered jobs in a range of industries, including aerospace, banking, accounting, higher education, and risk management.

Risk Professor Wins Faculty Teaching Award

Professor Johnnie Johnson, Director of the Centre for Risk Research, won an Excellence in Teaching award for 2013 in the Faculty of Business, Law and Art at an event organised by the Southampton University Students¿ Union.
