Subject-specific talks and workshops

We have two series of workshops that are available you to book for your students.

Ask The Expert

'Ask the Expert' is our way of getting your students in touch with our world-class researchers and academics. We have a range of free lectures and workshops available, across a wide variety of subject areas. The content of many of the sessions is directly related to the research being carried out by our academic staff. We can run sessions on campus or our academics are normally able to travel up to two hours to visit you in your school or college.

Explore with US conferences

Students are given the opportunity to explore one particular theme from a variety of perspectives by attending a series of interdisciplinary workshops.

This conference is free to attend for invited partner schools and colleges in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

There will be three conferences taking place throughout the academic year. The next conference will take place on Wednesday 12th July 2017:

12th July 2017 – ‘Exploring Cuba'

Students will attend three workshops and explore themes connected to Cuban music, culture, politics and history. This day may be of particular interest to students with an interest in performing arts as it will include an introduction to a free songwriting competition for the musical ‘Fidel’ – see for more information.

The conference is an invite only event.
