Senior Fellowship Award

Graham Smith, Professor of Politics, is taking up a Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy for five months from February 2010. The Fellowships provide a framework for established academics with an international reputation to pursue their research at the EUI. The Fellowship will allow Professor Smith to complete the analysis of a large-scale internet participation experiment that was organised as part of the ESRC Rediscovering the Civic project and to develop his current research on the environmental activities of third sector organisations.
