Welcome to Sport and Wellbeing within the University of Southampton. Our programme of activities, along with our outstanding facilities, enables you to make lifestyle choices to enhance your wellbeing through offering a comprehensive range of courses and classes to suit your specific needs, including watersports, swimming and fitness.

We also work closely with the Students’ Union (SUSU) to support club activities and to ensure the success of inter-university competitions. For more details about the Students’ Union visit www.susu.org

Think you are too busy to attend a fitness class? Why not try one of our new Express 30 minute classes:
Express Step Wednesday 16:40-17:10 (TSH)
L.B.T. (Legs, Bums and Tums) Thursday 13:00-13:30 (JSH)
Aerobics Friday 12:30-13:00 (JSH)
We also have 30 minute classes in Total Balance, Indoor Cycling and Skipcersize available in JSH and Core Fitness, Indoor Cycling and Express HIIT available at the Mayflower gym.

Our Indoor Cycling room has had a makeover, including a new mural, mood lighting and 15 brand new Precor Spinner Shift bikes! 
#Indoorcycling is a great way to improve overall aerobic fitness, increase stamina, lower body-fat levels and increase muscle tone.  We have 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions available so whatever your fitness level, there is a class for you AND it is free if you are a Sport and Wellbeing member!

Need an escape from your revision? 
Sport and Wellbeing are running free classes for Students in January to help you relax and refocus. 
The 'Relax and Refresh' classes include elements of Pilates,stretching and relaxation/meditation and are running at the following times in the Martial Arts Room:
Monday 16th & 23rd Jan -  2-2:30 & 2:30-3pm
Wednesday 17th & 25th Jan -  10-10:30am & 10:30 -11am
Friday 19th & 27th Jan -  2-2:30 & 2:30-3pm

    The University of Southampton Watersports Centre offers a wide range of Royal Yachting Assocation (RYA) and British Canoeing (BC) approved Watersports course

    Rifle shooting

    Why not book and try Rifle Shooting at the Watersports Centre?  We run hour long sessions on Wednesdays between 17:00 and 18:00

    Swimming for everyone

    Our 25 metre swimming pool has 6 lanes and spans depths of 1 to 2 metres.  Used for lessons, clubs and general swimming there is something here for everyone to enjoy - whatever your skill level.
