Projects accepting student applications

The following is a list of projects that are accepting applications for student placements. Click on the project names for more information.

PLEASE NOTE - YOU SHOULD HAND IN YOUR FORM BY 3PM ON FRIDAY 19TH MARCH 2010, TO THE ARCHAEOLOGY OFFICE (BUILDING 65A, ROOM 1241); IF YOU CANNOT DO THIS PLEASE EMAIL LUCY BLUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Although we have done our best to ensure information here is accurate, you should bear in mind that projects are sometimes significantly changed, or dates altered for reasons beyond our control. In those cases, we try to be as flexible as possible. There are, however, no guarantees EITHER that you will get a place on a project that you apply for, OR that your project will run once you are allocated to it. If you have any questions about projects that are not answered by the web pages, you should contact the relevant project leader as soon as possible. For further information about fieldwork please contact Dr Lucy Blue or Jim Wood.

† Note: participation on these projects is primarily for University of Southampton students, with priority given to first year students needing to carry out their required field experience. Unfortunately, we are very rarely able to offer fieldwork placements to other individuals, but if you are from outside Archaeology and are interested in participating you should contact the project coordinator directly (see table above) to learn if they have places available.
