The Internationalisation Fund
The Internationalisation Fund call for proposals is now closed and will re-open in 2011.
Briefing Session: Details of the next briefing session wil be displayed once a date has been confirmed.
The Internationalisation Fund aims to promote the strategic priorities of the University of Southampton and raise the University’s international profile. The Fund will:
- provide ‘seed funding’ for joint international research or teaching activities at an early stage of development – e.g. exploratory research initiatives, targeted workshops, academic staff exchanges and the formation of collaborative networks, among other activities. It is essential that proposed research activities demonstrate the potential to secure third party funding that will allow the collaboration to become self-sustained (or to generate other research or teaching outcomes and/or research/learning resources). Each proposal must involve joint work between the University of Southampton and at least one partner university outside the UK. [stream 1.]
- support initiatives that aim to promote the Internationalisation of the teaching curriculum or promote best practice in relevant professional services at the University. These initiatives do not need to be joint with outside partners. [stream 2.]
