New paper explores organisation of physical care for older people in Indonesia
Elisabeth Schröder-Butterfill, together with her Indonesian colleague Tengku Syawila Fithry, has published a paper in Ageing and Society on how physical care to dependent older people is organised and negotiated in Indonesia.
The article examines the common mismatch between people’s preferred and actual caregivers, and the impact that dependence has on people’s identity as respected adults.
