New research to explore return migration

Published: 8 February 2013

A new study led by the Centre for Research on Ageing will investigate the motivations and impact of return migration.

Dr Rosalind Willis and Dr Priya Khambhaita of the Centre for Research on Ageing have been awarded funding from the Faculty’s Strategic Research Development Fund on the topic of ‘Return migration of second and third generation British Indians to India’.

The award will be used to fund a pilot study to determine the feasibility of studying the motivations for return migration, and the consequences on identity and caring responsibilities.
