I think for the Business School students, it is a good university to enhance the professional knowledge, because we have different optional courses and modules to choose from.

Why did you choose to study at Southampton?

The reason I selected the University of Southampton is because of the course contents. I have an interest in the marketing field, especially the analytical part, and that is why I chose the University of Southampton. Also, the location since Southampton is not that far to London, but the weather here is better than London.

What did you enjoy the most about living in Southampton?

In Southampton, the low lifestyle makes me feel relaxed. Also, the local people are very friendly. Southampton is not a big city, but it still has the comprehensive transport such as train station, bus and airport.

Would you recommend Southampton to students from your home country? If so, why?

I think for the Business School students, it is a good university to enhance the professional knowledge, because we have different optional courses and modules to choose from. For me, I don't want to learn the same course a second time, so I selected the data analysis that was very useful and fresh for me. While another of the department's students, could select the general marketing courses to understand better what marketing does. The faculty is also very nice and is suitable for everyone.

What plans do you have now?

The masters courses in Southampton have changed my future plan. When I studied here, I found out that my marketing knowledge was not enough although I have already studied in marketing when I was a college student in Taiwan. I am planning to apply for a second masters degree in marketing communication in the UK. After that I would like to work as a marketing planner in Taiwan or in the UK.
