Business School to host entrepreneurship competition
On November 16, Southampton Business School will be hosting a competition for current students to pitch their business ideas to successful entrepreneur, Southampton alumnus and Small Business Clinic advisor Renold Tang.
Competing students have already been shortlisted after submitting their start-up ideas. At the event, these students will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, including Renold as well as three Business School academics; Dr Vadim Grinevich, Dr David Baxter and Dr Stratos Ramoglou. Students will have just 120 seconds to pitch, without any presentation aids.
Before the student pitch, Renold will give a talk about entrepreneurship. He has 30 years of experience in accountancy and setting up businesses and he now helps students with their start-ups in the University's Small Business Clinic (a joint project between Business and Law).
As a prize for the winning student, Renold has offered work experience with him and a two-night stay with breakfast and dinner for two at Renold Tang's luxury Stapleford Park Hotel: http://www.staplefordpark.com to go with the Amazon voucher being donated from the Business School.
