Dr Zubair Shafiq 

Learning Designer

Zubair is an experienced educator and learning designer who has worked in various academic institutions for over a decade. He has earned a Master's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Punjab, Lahore, and a PhD from the University of Southampton.

Zubair has extensive expertise in Moodle, having implemented it at scale to cater to diverse student populations and learning objectives. He has led and participated in various projects related to curriculum design, assessment, and evaluation, employing different learning models and project management techniques.

Currently, Zubair is working on projects which enable learners to showcase their learning and create interactive and immersive learning experiences. These involve ThingLink and ePortfolios among others.

As a learning designer, Zubair is passionate about creating engaging and effective learning experiences that utilise digital tools and technologies. He is skilled at using multimedia and interactive elements to enhance the learning process and has experience in designing both synchronous and asynchronous learning activities.

In addition to his proficiency in digital learning, Zubair has collaborated with educators and stakeholders from various fields to design and deliver training programs and workshops. His learner-centred design approach and pedagogy have enabled him to create impactful and transformative learning experiences.
