English students' success in Students' Union award ceremonies

On 9 May, Southampton University Students' Union held its first celebratory event for course representatives across the University. Three of the twelve awards went to English students: Nadia van Pelt (Ph.D), pictured, Annie Partridge (year 2), and Daniel Tovey (year 1). For a full list of their achievements, and a list of other nominees from English, see http://blogs.susu.org/sabbs/2012/05/09/and-the-winners-are-course-rep-awards/2012. The current English president, Tig Wallace, commented 'I'm very proud of the team's commitment and success!'

At another SUSU awards ceremony, for excellence in volunteering, Alice Rutherford, who will be next year's English Society President, received a 'Highly Commended'.
