Global Lounge Grand Opening Event

On the 24th March 2022, the Global Lounge Student Committee held their first grand opening event for the Global Lounge! The Faculty International Office (FIO) team was pleased to attend this event and show our support.

The student-led committee organised a programme of exciting activities for this launch event! This included fun icebreaker games, leaving your mark on a world map signature wall, a photo competition with a £15 Amazon or Waterstones voucher prize, and an international quiz competition to win a delicious chocolate prize!

There were free snacks on offer from different countries across the world for students to try, and a free soft or alcoholic drink as well!  

FIO was delighted to share the global lounge space with international students and enjoyed meeting as many of you as possible. The fun does not stop there, as the Global Lounge Student Committee has unveiled their exciting plans for the rest of the year! Look out for our email invitations to sign-up for the next event!
