Ziwei Dai BSc Economics and Finance

Ziwei Dai was a student from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics who came to the University of Southampton to obtain a BSc in Economics and Finance.

How did you find the application process through the International Office?

I would say it's really fast and efficient, especially comparing to the university I am preparing to go to for further study. The International Office in University of Southampton did a quite good job.

How did the International Office help in enhancing your study experience in the UK?

It hosted several meetings to help Chinese students to fit into university life.  Also I feel that my tutor and other staff helped me a lot.

What do you like most about your course? Why did you choose it over other international options?

I like all the lecturers, they are very passionate and humorous. I chose my course because the University of Southampton has a good reputation around the world and the academic quality is definitely outstanding.

Are there any challenges you face studying and living in the UK?

Yes, during the last year of my life in Southampton, I felt that it was difficult to handle all the stuff like dissertation, application for masters and normal courses.

What are you main tips for any new starters at the University of Southampton?

Make a plan in the early stages especially for the last year, otherwise you will feel very stressed.
