The Sale of Ships under the Singapore Form Book Launch

IML director Filippo Lorenzon and his former colleague Charles Debattista have launched their latest book The Sale of Ships under the Singapore Form in Singapore on Monday April 8, 2013.

The launch, hosted by the publishers LexisNexis® Singapore and the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) was part of the Singapore Maritime Week and saw a crowd of more than 90 maritime professionals including shipowners, arbitrators, shipping lawyers, ship brokers and charterers amongst others attended the event. As part of the launch, several leaders in the maritime scene including Mr David Chin, Executive Director, Singapore Maritime Foundation, Mr Bart Sjoerdsma, Southeast Asia Managing Director, LexisNexis and Mr Lee Wai Pong, Executive Director, Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration gave their remarks about the significance of this publication. The Authors shared key highlights about the Singapore Ship Sale Form and their new book. Filippo Lorenzon also spoke about two recent English decisions (The Union Power and The Griffon) and highlighted how some of the issues arisen in these cases would have been avoided under the new SSF 2011.
