New Website for Southampton's LGBT Research Community

In collaboration with the Department of History, Laurence Georgin from the LLAS Centre set up a new website for Southampton’s LGBT research community.

The new website was launched this month across the university to coordinate and publicise gender and LGBT research, with the added aim of attracting students and interdisciplinary research collaborations. It includes short presentations of current research projects and study opportunities at the University. The launch had an immediate impact with 40 subscribers to the blog in the first week, the English department being contacted by an American student who wanted to complete a doctorate with them and other centres in the UK wanting to link up with the new research community.

Colleagues researching in this area are encouraged to contribute and get in touch with Laurence at l.i.georgin@soton.ac.uk.
