***PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT HAS REACHED MAXIMUM NUMBERS. PLEASE EMAIL MLOUTREACH@SOTON.AC.UK IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST. HOWEVER, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE WAITING LIST IS VERY LONG*** Our first ever Year 10 Study Day will take place on 14th June 2018. In the morning, there will be workshop sessions exploring cultural topics in French, German or Spanish and pupils will be able to practice grammar and vocabulary, as well as learning more about specific country topics. In the afternoon, there will be a chance for pupils to attend an ab initio session in either Chinese, Portuguese or Italian.
Notes:
- There is a strict limit of 10 students from each school for this event, due to popularity.
- Lunch is not provided for students on the day.
- Attendance at the whole day is expected.
- Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the confirmation email.
- Nearer the time of the event we get in touch again to check final numbers and names. A final programme, risk assessment and parking permit will be sent to teachers approximately one month before the event.
- Where schools may have some native speakers of French, Spanish and/or German that wish to attend, we would ask you to carefully consider if the day will be of benefit to them.
