Speaker information

Dr Kinda Ibrahim,Dr Kinda Ibrahim is a Pharmacist by background and a Lecturer in the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education within the Faculty of Medicine teaching research methods to undergraduate and postgraduate candidates. Kinda’s research is focused on Medicines Optimisation and Deprescribing among older people, with a specific focus on those living with frailty, dementia or cognitive impairment. She has expertise in applied health research, qualitative methodology and implementation science. Kinda is a core member of several networks and special interest groups including: the Network for European Researchers in Deprescribing (NERD) steering committee, the joint AHSN/ARC Wessex Medicine Optimisation network, and the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EUGMS) Polypharmacy Special Interest Group.
