Brief Outline: Aims to introduce the learner to authoring with the Blackboard virtual learning environment, covering the areas of most interest and providing a familiarity with the Blackboard interface.

- How to access Blackboard.
- An understanding of the courses on Blackboard and how they are populated.
- How to add a variety of types of course content to a Blackboard course.
- An understand of how to manage and track users of their course.
- How to allow students to access their course.
- How to create a simple quiz using Blackboard.
- How to deploy the quiz to a content area and access results.
- How to access follow up material online.
- How to request support with their use of Blackboard.
