Brief Outline: This half day course is aimed at managers and supervisors undertaking PPDR discussions with staff, and in particular managers for whom this is a new responsibility. It will provide reviewers with the opportunity to learn about the University’s PPDR process, understand the purpose and benefits of PPDR, assess performance and set appropriate objectives. As well as clarifying the roles and responsibilities of the appraiser and appraisee, the course provides delegates with the opportunity to practice using the key skills of an appraiser within a ‘safe’ environment.
Please note: separate Appraisal sessions are offered for level 4-7 managers of professional services staff and managers of academic staff.
